Day 2

So today I plan on starting the game I was talking about before but I'm not going to make it as big. I said that it's better to start small than build from there. So, I'm going to try an arena skill based top-down fighter and then after I'm done that, I could build a full game with a story from there. I was planning on having some sort of futuristic theme where society has traveled all over the galaxy and the earth is used as an arena where poor people fight to try to make their way to freedom. This idea isn't as big as the first one but it will still take a lot of time to work on.

So I started off by just setting off the basics of the movement controls and stuff.

I made a sprite for my character and made him a cube using the built-in sprite editor and colored him blue with a red dot on the end so that you know which way he is facing. I'm just using these for the basics first before I add some sprites.

After this, i set up my basic object and called it obj_player and added some movement controls to it that I remembered from before and made it so that he is always facing the cursor.

And this is all that I got done today.

The rest of the class I was just looking for some sprites that I could use as a base for my game.

Today I didn't learn that much I just looked back and reminded myself of code that I have used before.

Tomorrow I will work more on my game.
